A Holy Jolly German Christmas Haus- Gettysburg PA

I stumbled upon the most adorable Christmas shop and absolutely had to share! During a Gettysburg, Pennsylvania trip, along the streets of downtown, I saw what looked like a Christmas lover’s paradise! This holiday wonderland is called The Christmas Haus located on Baltimore Street.

The Christmas Haus, as expected from its name, sells authentic German Christmas accessories! They have an incredibly large variety of nutcrackers ranging from about 6 feet tall, to 6 inches! Whatever you are looking for, you’ll be guaranteed to find it in the Christmas Haus. Everything that they sell in store is homemade, carved, and collected from the finest German artisans.

Each year, The Christmas Haus employees travel to Germany to work directly with German craftspeople to bring the best of the best, unique pieces to their customers in Gettysburg. This is not a new practice, they have been traveling to Germany for the finest art for more than 400 years!
Walking into the store, you will find hand carved wood pieces, glass ornaments, Papier-mâché, tree toppers, hand made beer steins, Porcelain dolls and lots of Christmas smoker wooden dolls. The Christmas Haus is open year-round, everyday from around 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Prices vary depending on item type and size. These items are quite pricey, but they are one of a kind and there is a lot of love and dedication poured into each piece. Their beautiful authentic German glass ornaments are my personal favorite and range in prices from $30 to $100. The nutcrackers are more expensive than the ornaments, and there is such a wide variety of styles. They have traditional/ historical designs, Santa and snowmen creations as well as male, female, limited edition, and limited-edition versions! The price range of the Nutcrackers ranges from $100 to $400.

Though I did not purchase anything for myself, I would love to go back to The Christmas Haus for the upcoming Holiday season! It is a magical place that truly puts you in the Christmas spirit!
