Hi there, welcome to my travel blog! 

My name is Emily, and I am currently a junior at Loyola University in Baltimore, Md. I’ve always been a Maryland girl! I grew up in a small town in Carroll County called Hampstead. Nothing really happens here, but it is a great community with lots of rural beauty!

Although I have grown up in such a small town, nothing has stopped me from getting out and exploring my state and neighboring states!

Growing up in Maryland has left me with a love and appreciation for farm land, as well as the city life (which Maryland has both of!) From the cornfields of Western Maryland, to the lively cities of Baltimore and Annapolis, or even catching waves in Ocean City, we will cover it all! If you are in the DMV area, looking for food recommendations, stories of personal experience, fun activities and so much more, you have come to the right place!

In the Streets Festival

September 13th, 2025, What a day to be in Frederick Maryland ! Picture walking along Market Street, the main strip of downtown, and being surrounded by close to 75,000 people, delicious food, vendors, entertainment and so much more! The annual In the Streets Festival took place over the weekend, and it was incredible to experience! The whole day was filled with activities and fun for the whole family. Although this event has already passed for the year, do not worry about missing out. I will share all of the information and recommendations needed to attend the next In the Streets Festival like a pro!   What is the In the Streets Festival?
